Bust of young Jose Rizal in Calauan, Laguna
Doon po sa amin is an old farm off the roadside in baranggay Paliparan, city of Calauan, Laguna province. Deep in the inner gardens of his own home province, the young Jose Rizal was given an appropriate ecological home before a little ‘paliparan,’ in this case, a grassy driveway to a quiet garden in the home of Sir Peter Van Bogaert, KGOR, honorary consul of the Philippines to Belgium and his lovely Filipina wife, Baby who played the roles of a good hostess, singer and dancer. All of us truly felt warmly welcomed.

Honorable Mayor George Berris was on hand to grace the occasion and welcome several knights to his town as well as offer a fitting tribute to the national hero.
