Beste betrokkene,

Marrie Kardol (Penningmeester)
Dear Tito Eddie,
This is Reylene Montes, the daughter of Leonie Montes. We've like to share with you some video shots of the effect of Ondoy in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, our home town. Most of the low lying areas near Laguna Lake are still under water. Our public and private schools are still shared by students with evacuees.
I hope some of Mom's friends and other Filipinos can extend some help to our Kababayans here. Salamat po ng marami

Dear Family and Friends,
As you might have read from the news, the Philippines has been badly affected by typhoon Ondoy, international name Ketsana. Floodwaters sent people to the rooftops, huddled as they waited for army helicopters to pluck them to safety. Roads were rendered impassable, making rescue efforts challenging. Our government has already appealed for international relief and donations. The catastrophe is devastating. Most waited for more than 48 hours for rescue, without food or water. An estimated 567,000 people now homeless and stay in evacuation centers.
In this connection, Stichting Bayanihan, The Philippine Women Center in the Netherlands would like to appeal to your generous hearts to help us in our efforts to fund raise for our kababayans who are victims of this terrible disaster. Bayanihan Foundation, the Philippine Women Centre in the Netherlands (Stichting Bayanihan, Centrum voor Filippijnse Vrouwen in Nederland) is a self -help women organisation which aims to advance the participation, integration and emancipation of Filipinas in the Netherlands through empowerment.
