Block Rosary Crusaders 30th Anniversary  Celebration  plans started

The Block Rosary Crusaders of Toronto, started in Scarborough on October 2, 1982, by Jun & Carm Salvador, Manolo & Gloria Pascual and Leo & Tini Limgenco, with a number of families. During this early days, Dolly and George Poblete  invited their neighbours and were able to gather  52 families and formed the BR Group 1. These families prayed the Rosary and Novena for the Blessed Virgin with their family members daily.  The Coordinators made sure that the statues of the  Blessed Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus are brought from family to family every weekend.
Through the years, the number of BR group increased, to 12 groups x 52 families. These families are  located mainly in Metro Toronto: to Whitby in the east and Newmarket and Stouffville in the north. It was reported that this is the largest organized and active Block Rosary Group in Canada.
The Block Rosary Crusaders will celebrate their 30th Anniversary this October 2012. Sir George R. Poblete started organizing the working committee for this celebration, with the support of the Coordinators from the 12 groups. The BR plan to celebrate with a Mass in the each parish were the groups are located, and a Dinner Dance in a banquet Hall for 500 guests in October.
