February is University Foundation month for PWU.

The Institution celebrates it’s 92^nd year, starting with community outreach project of the School of Medical Technology. 

University-wide activities are organized by the different Schools and departments, held on:

• February 3 - Mini fair by JASMS Manila; community outreach project by School of Medical Technology      
  
• February 6-10 – Art Exhibity at the PWU Gallery by the School of Fine Arts and Design       
  
• February 8-9 - Plant Tours in Food companies and Study Tours by the School of Food Science and Technology;
  
• February 10 -Tree Planting Day at Ipo Dam by JASMS Manila 
  
• February 14- Teachers’ Day / Student-Teachers’ Day at PWU Bayanihan Paseo
  
• February 15- Wellness Lecture at PWU by the School of Nutrition
  
• February 16 – Courtesy call on PWU Chairperson Helena Z Benitez at Miranila Heritage House by Alumni
  
• February 17 – President’s Convication; Junior Senior Prom
  
• February 18 – the 2012 Alumni Grand Reunion and Homecoming at the Manila Polo Club
  
• February 23 – PWU Sports Fest
  
• February 23-26 – National Culinary Competition at the World Trade Center by the School of Hospitality, hotel and  Restaurant Management
  
• February 29 - Coastal Clean-up Drive initiated by UNICORP

Activities will run into March as a continuation of the University Foundation Celebration.

PWU ALUMNI COME HOME

PWU ALUMNI coming from all over the world will join their colleagues and participate in the various activities of University Foundation Month, starting this week, till the end f February.

Highlights of the Alumni activities include the traditional courtesy call on the PWU Chairperson, Dr. Helena Z Benitez fondly called Tita Helen by the Alumni. This is a cherished tradition that gives the alumni an opportunity to meet, and share with Dr Benitez. This is held at the Miranila Heritage House in Quezon City. 

The 81^st PWU Alumni Homecoming and Grand Reunion takes place on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 4:00pm at the Manila Polo Club in Makati. Alumni will “Rock Around the World with Elvis”, with the Golden Jubilarians of Class 1962, and Silver Jubilarians of Class 1987 leading the merry-making. A sumptuous dinner buffet will be served, and live band music will play for all night dancing.

On Monday February 20, the Alumni have prepared a tribute to their beloved Tita Helen, to be held at the Museo Pambata on Roxas Boulevard. Program starts at 3:00pm. This event is organized by PWU High School Class 1963.
