qzThe Philippine Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands wishes to reiterate  to all our qualified  kababayan who have not yet register as an Overseas Absentee Voter (OAV) to register at the Embassy.
The filing of applications for registration/certification and transfer of registration records shall be filed at the Embassy or other designated registration areas until 31 October 2012.
The mid-term election for senators and party-list  will commence on 13 April 2013 until 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon (Philippine time) of 13 May 2013 .qz
As reiterated by the new Chairman of the Committee on Overseas Absentee Voting (COAV), Commissioner LUCENITO N. TAGLE, “…  we keep a positive view that absentee voting will continue to flourish as we hope to reach the one million target of registered absentee voters for the 2013 mid-term elections. Furthermore, we continue to espouse the modernization of the absentee voting procedure for a faster and more accessible mode of voting of overseas Filipinos”
As of 23 April 2012, the Embassy have processed 230 OAV applications subject to COMELEC-COAV approval.
Requirements for Registration
1. Valid Passport

• In the absence of a passport, the Embassy may issue a certification that the documents submitted are sufficient for the issuance of a passport
• Or the applicant can prove that he has a valid passport but is unable to produce the passport for a valid reason

2. In the case of a Seafarer, copy of the seaman's book or any pertinent document
3. In the case of Dual Citizens, the original or certified true copy of a) the order of approval of his application to retain or re-acquire his Filipino citizenship, or b) Oath of Allegiance issued by the Embassy or the Bureau of Immigration
