Noted and well-respected Greater Toronto Area education board official and community leader Marlene S. Mogado will address the 6th Annual Conference on Teacher Certification and Career Building in Ontario. The event is to be held on May 26th, 2012, Saturday, 9:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at May Robinson Recreation Hall, 20 West Lodge Avenue, Toronto, Ontario,Canada.

The yearly event is being conducted by the Philippine Teachers Association of Canada in cooperation with Kababayan Community Centre Multicultural Services , a 35-year old immigrants settlement & integration service network in the Greater Toronto Area. Flor Dandal is the KCCMS executive director. PTAC, headed by educator Tony A. San Juan, is a six-year old socioprofessional organization of Filipino Canadian practicing & retired teachers and educators in Ontario.
 
Marlene Mogado is currently a Trustee of the York Catholic District School Board
serving Markham-area 2,Wards 4,5,7 & 8 in York Region. Expected to join M. Mogado as special guest speakers are Kathy Anstett, Director of External Relations-Ontario College of Teachers and Norma Bernal, Employment Counsellor-Skills for Change-Toronto. To serve as Open Forum Panelists are Filipino Canadian senior secondary & elementary schoolteachers Rosario Apilado, Marissa Ciacico & Annalyn Galarion of Dufferin-PeelCDSB, Marissa Largo of TorontoCDSB, Regina Lozano-Nuguid of PeelDSB and Tony A. San Juan of Toronto District School Board. KCCMS executive diector F. Dandal will sit as a career-resource specialist for the education-related industry sector.
 
The whole-day seminar, with its theme "Moving Forward: Career Transition, Career Transformation", is being offered free to internationally-trained professionals who are newcomer-immigrants, permanent residents, work-permit holders or citizens and are fully interested in reconnecting and building a career as a teacher or educator in Canada.(TSJ).
