Over the two years of its existence as an umbrella body for the growing number of community organisations, APCO has recognised the significance of bringing together its affiliates and guests by way of a dinner dance and cultural presentations. This year’s Freedom Ball will take place at the Grand Ballroom of Bankstown Sports Club on Saturday, the 9
th of June.
As APCO continues to celebrate Philippine Independence Day in a befitting manner to promote the spirit of unity, this year’s event is greatly enriched by the theme:
‘Social Inclusion unites a culturally diverse nation’.
(Maraming Kultura, Nagiisang Bansa)
With its deep value for the Filipino tradition and culture, APCO, for the past two years, draws on the unified strength of its affiliates to promote the community spirit of integration and democracy.
This year’s celebration brings a consolidation of the achievement over the past two years and promises to deliver a production number that encompasses this year’s theme.
As in the past, government officials are expected to grace this year’s Philippine Freedom Ball.
The celebration will also see the induction of newly elected officers and board members and the launching of a Filipino Recipe Book, by. Marx Canoy.
With its set of new officers, headed by its President Mr. Jhun Salazar and able assistance of the past president, Dr. Cen Amores as adviser, APCO continues with its current momentum to express its vision for unified Filipino community organisations. The Philippine Freedom Ball is just one of its projects to facilitate this goal.
