Ika’y naging isang api, sa kamay ng mga anak
Dinungisan ang ganda mo’t ang puri mo ay hinamak
Masasamang adhikain ay naghari’t nagtagumpay
Naghirap ka at nagtiis, nalugmok ka INANG BAYAN.
 
Sa piling ng mga anak, ika’y dapat pagsilbihan
Ipagtanggol, ipaglaban, ang daing mo ay pakinggan
Sa halip na ipagtanggol, ang dangal mo’y niyurakan
Sa halip na ipaglaban, sila mismo’y nagahaman.
 
No’ng lumipas na panahon, ika’y isang paraluman
Mahinhin ka at mayumi, kay dami ng iyong yaman
Nguni’t walang anu-ano ay dumating ang dayuhan
Hinalukay ang kaban mo’t ang yaman mo ay kinamkam.
 
Ang panahon natin ngayon ay malupit na daigdig
Marami ang mga punong sa tungkuli’y lumilihis
Ang dakila sa adhika’y nabibigo’t nalulupig
At ang mga naghahari’y masasama’t mga sakim.
 
Darating din ang panahong ang anak mo ay gigising
Upang ikaw ay mahalin, alagaan at ibigin
'Pagka't sila’y nakalimot, sa tungkuli’y naging taksil
Imulat ang mga mata’t bumangon ka INANG GILIW.
