My comment is too late, nevertheless, my congratulation to APCO and all affiliates for a very successful event.

We in Club Filipino Illawarra, Inc is proud to be one of the founding member organisations of APCO and took part in this event, the yearly celebration of Philippine independence.

More power to APCO and more power to all Filipinos who still love our old country, the Philippines.

A worldwide tradition of celebrating the Philippine independence is highlighed in Munting Nayon News Magazine.

The different ways of celebrating it through the collaboration of people is a manifest that in unity there is power. Same with the collaboration of our forefathers who had the courage and committment to stand for our freedom 114 years ago.

Let's keep this spirit alive every year. It gives us pride to be Filipinos where ever we are, proud of our culture and our heritage and we stand tall as our heroes for the love of our motherland.

It was Yuletide season, a good time for another family reunion in the Philippines.  We celebrated Christmas Eve at my brother Danny and his wife Cindy’s house.  Cindy’s sisters Annie and Bettina hosted Christmas lunch.  Our holiday meals were both delightful and generous.  It was time for some physical vacation activities.  Our destination – Coron in the province of Palawan.

Coron is remote.  We took three modes of transportation to get there - by air, land and sea.  Our big family tour group flew from Manila to Busuanga Island just north of the island of Palawan, then rode two vans through hills and dirt roads, before taking two motor boats to reach our secluded vacation hideaway by the beach.  The skillful boatmen waded and pushed the two small crafts as we passed through shallow waters between mangroves.
