Once again, for the second time, the Pageant representatives and some Officers from the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation participated on the grand parade of Caribana Festival 2012.

On its 45th Year of Caribbean culture, music, art, carnival and parade, the gigantic CARIBANA Festival dominated all summer festivities in the whole Metro Toronto.
This three week celebration concluded with colorful floats, bands, costumes and gears during the all-day Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade last Saturday August 4.
More than a million guests from all over North America joined the parade festival which was held at the Exhibition Place and along Lake Shore Boulevard in Toronto.
During the grand parade, The Miss Philippine Canada 2012, Alev Usta, and Meghan Garvida, one of the runner-ups were on one of the trailers while the PCCF Officers led by Jimmy Marasigan, President of PCCF and Romy Rafael, Vice President for External Affairs, were on a chartered air conditioned TTC bus with all the food and drink supplies trailing behind.
This year’s Caribbean Festival is also featuring an exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum which includes the works of renowned costume designer as well as photos from past Caribbean Festivals held in Toronto.
The Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) which sponsors one of the biggest cultural shows and the most prestigious pageant contest within the Metro Toronto Filipino Community such as the recently concluded Pinoy Fiesta and Trade Show last June 9, manages numerous activities that complements its charitable mandate.
The foundation endeavours to help other organizations that support charitable activities for the youth, the seniors and other worthy activities. At the same time it help promotes Filipino Cultures in Canada and extends awareness of its charity works in the Philippines. PCCF has pledged to build houses for the poor in the Philippines through ANCOP initiative and support various fund raising to help victims of natural calamities.
