Dear Nene,

How are you?

First, we would like to inform you that together with other kababayans I miss your advisory column Ayon kay Nene very much. May I also inform you I have kept past issues of Munting Nayon and have used them several times to answer some questions of our kababayans. I am happy that your column is now available on the Munting Nayon website.

Last month, I was finally confronted just like others who have experienced it before me to send emergency money for my mother who was sick and had to be hospitalized for pneumonia. Family Money
January 13, 2009

Dear Nene,

I read the response you gave to Leonila in the last issue of Munting Nayon, which prompted me to write you. I am Dutch married to a Filipina since 20 years ago. I met her when she came here for a short vacation with her relatives while she was also on a short vacation in Germany where her other relatives are staying. We got married after a long distance relationship of three years. We now have two children who are aged 15 and 12 years old.

My problem is the other way around compared to Leonila’s problem. My wife has a part-time work and earns money that is not enough for her personal needs. She does not have ...

My husband travels often due to the requirements of his job and for this reason I am most of the time left alone to "discipline" my children. My problem is I get embarrassed when my children are quarrelling in front...

Dear Nene,

Kumusta?

I was so happy to see you last week at church in The Hague after 12 or more years? You have not physically changed since the last time I saw you except that you have put on a little more weight.

Actually, I read your column regularly and keep on saying that you are the Cora who visited us 12 years ago when my family residence was still in The Hague. I particularly remember you came to our house with...
