If continuous weekly increases in oil and prime commodities cannot be stopped, social unrest might developed, peace and order will be in danger and criminality will rise because many will experience hunger. Even the middle class could feel the growing pangs of hard life. Only a segment of the population would not mind the continuous price increases.

What solution should be made in order not to further alleviate the burden of the citizenry? Many are saying to remove the VAT and other taxes on oil and other prime commodities.

Government people and legislators should initiate radical moves as to forego their fat allowances and pork barrels; cut unnecessary expenses on travel and representation allowances. This gesture on their part will mean ...

Any political leader who cannot openly speak about moral and ethical values or lead a campaign towards good conduct in public and private life has no right to preside over a nation supposedly known for its religiosity and adherence to Christian values in Asia. . We urgently need at this point in time a God-fearing leader who is morally upright, creative, one who listens and follows what is good and right, one who is gifted with wisdom.

Many students and parents believe that this is college degree where graduates can easily land a job abroad especially in the U.S. and Canada and earn dollars to help their families in the Philippines.
