Scarborough, Toronto, CANADA- June 8-10, 2007, - Celebrated our 40th Anniversary of 1st Filipino Nurses in Amsterdam. 19 out of 50 from St. Lucas Ziekenhuis and 5 from OLVG out of 25. Participants are coming from the USA, Canada and The Netherlands, it was a good turn out. A Memorial Mass was offered for those who had gone before us. On 29th September 2007, members of the Filipino Nurses Group 1967 celebrated the 40th anniversary of their arrival at the St. Lucas Ziekenhuis in Amsterdam. The event was attended by 13 from the original group. Also some Dutch colleagues came, as well as Dr. Beth Mallonga and Dr. Linda Kars-Villanueva.
