Filipino Canadian  Teachers Conduct Entrepreneurship and Exemplary Teaching Practices Seminar for Educators

The Philippine Teachers Association of Canada ( PTAC), holds its 7th Professional  Development Seminar on May 12, 2013 at St. Clair Forest Hills Loblaws, Toronto. The 7-year old social-professional organization of Ontario- licenced & practicing teachers and former Philippine educators , fittingly and meaningfully celebrated Mother's Day with a professional improvement activity for Ontario current and upcoming teachers in partnership with Durham Centre for Excellence(D'CENTEX).
 

With Toronto Catholic District School Board -TCDSB Trustee Garry Tanuan as its Keynote speaker, more than 40 teachers,members and guests attended the mid-year event. Tanuan, school trustee for Ward 8 in Scarborough,Ontario, is an IT professional and certified project manager engaged in the government, finance,and clinical research sectors. He congratulated the participants for desiring to meet their life-long learning goals both as a teacher and a person. An active leader in Toronto's Catholic-faith communities, Tanuan stressed the value and significance of possessing strong faith- filled principles in teaching and education.

Garry Tanuan, a Filipino Canadian Trustee for Ward 8 in Scarborough,Ontario of the Toronto Catholic District School Board ( TCDSB), will deliver the keynote address at the Seventh Annual Professional Development Seminar of the Philippine Teachers Association of Canada (PTAC). The 7-year old volunteer-run, social -professional organization is conducting a free event on May 12, 2013( Sunday) at 12:00-4:30 p.m. at St. Clair Forest Hill Loblaws ,2nd Floor, # 396 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario.
