Now in its 20th year of publication, Munting Nayon News Magazine(MN) is published monthly and mailed to recipients, catering to the Filipino Community of The Netherlands, including some recipients in Belgium, Luxembourg, and other European countries as well as USA, Canada and the Philippines. MN is operated by couple Eddie Flores and Orquidia Valenzuela.

A group of Filipino residents in the Netherlands initiates "TAHANAN, A home away from home" project.
The group's main goal is to establish Vereniging TAHANAN, an organization of men and women who would want to live in a community in the Netherlands which would allow them the luxury of spending their golden years among their kababayan friends, living in their own private apartment flats and with the amenities provided for people in their senior years.
I was born in Rotterdam on January 2, 1984, almost a New Year's baby. Growing up, I had a wonderful youth and I was lucky to be raised within two cultures. I have very loving parents and one dear brother, Brian, with whom I have a close bond. My mother, Susan, is from the Philippines and my father, Jan, is from the Netherlands.
When I said "I do" to a Dutch who lives in France...., it was a fullfilment of a beautiful dream. For as a child I was a dreamer and continued to be so till my adolescence and adulthood. The books that I read fed my imagination with unsually nice people and events, and I often switched from reader to leading character in my romantic flights of fancy.
